A Look at My Makeup Revolution haul :) How to Order from them and what the pricing looks like.

So two months ago i decided to go look on the Makeup Revolution website to see what all the fuss was about , cause everywhere i look my beauty world friends are raving about these awesome products!!

Makeup Revolution is unfortunately not available in South Africa yet but we do have the option to buy off of their UK website and have it posted to us. The only issue is that it then goes through the post office and ja well we all know the story there lol. It took 6 weeks for me to receive my order via the post office, it arrived in 100% perfect condition and i am in Looove with all of it! I went slightly over board with my order lol , well actually not if i sit and think about it and the actual amount of items i got for my money is fantastic!!! my whole order including shipping came to R787. And now looking back i wish i had ordered more and there are certain items i wish i had included and i am definitely planning on placing another order! I Think if looking at the Prices of the items and comparing it to products available in SA then these are actually a very big bargain! The quality of these are much better than a lot of the brands i have tried that are in the same price range, i can honestly say i am happy with every single item  that i bought and they have left me wanting more! If you love makeup and you are looking to buy new products then i would really recommend you treat your self to a Makeup Revolution order! Cause lets be honest, its worth the wait and i can actually spend more money at Dischem on a random day on random products hehe so why not get something a little more special for your money!

The eye shadow’s have amazing pigment and color and go on smoothly and easily, no scratching at the color to get enough on the brush for the color to actual show up kinda thing, these are great!!!! Makeup Revolution has so many different eye shadow colors to choose from and stunning different palettes, i wish i could own them all and maybe one day i probably will hehe

One of my favorite items from my order has definitely got to be the Golden sugar blush palette. It Is just plain Gorgeous!!! i cant get enough of it, playing with it… looking at it… taking photos of it! i adore it. It is so far the best blush palette i have ever had! And second to that the item i have found myself using loads is the Pro fix setting spray, its such a handy spray and really does do its job very very well! I feel like we should all stock up on this one hehe

The smaller items i got in the order like the Mascara, vivid blush lacquer, Kajal liner and the eye primer are all also great! And i must say i have been getting good use out of the little brow palette. I Will be doing proper closer reviews of all of these precious items as i go along and use them! Just had to share some pics and details with everyone!

Stila Eyes are the window Body Palette Swatches and Review.

This has been one of the most Beautiful items I have had the pleasure of playing around with! It is just stunning, From the Packaging to the whole look of it and quality of the colors its just grand!! I love it so much. This is the Stila Eyes are the window ,Body Palette. The Eyes are the window range has a few different ones but I like this one cause of its large variety of shades from pink , purple to blue, brown and green. And this is the perfect item to buy if you are looking for a makeup cheer me up, and would also make a very nice gift! The outside packaging of the palette is a super shiny gold look that is reflective its so gold, really classy looking indeed.

This item is Available to buy online from http://www.zando.co.za and costs R490 , ok ok now I know your thinking WTF R490 for a bit of eye shadow, but once you have bought a nice quality shadow palette then there is no going back! its totally worth the money!

The palette consists of 12 shades that are all beautiful and can cover a good few different looks so its very handy. I took a large amount of pretty photos of this item cause the pictures speak for them selves!!

Here is a few pics of looks I created using this palette. I did a nice smokey purple look as well as a lovely blue look. They colors go well together so you can get a few tones in one look and they apply very well and are long lasting. This is such a perfect everyday basic palette if you are looking for a staple eye shadow product

I do a lot of online shopping and I find the service I get from Zando to be fantastic, they have never messed up a order and it is consistent and takes about 3 days to reach me depending on what method of delivery I select to pay for. Catrice Absolute Rose palette review + Eye shadow Singles +mascara+eye Liner ….

Still with This weeks Catrice roll , here is my beautiful review on the Catrice Absolute rose palette and some of the other makeup items 🙂

The Absolute rose palette is a lovely mix of matt and Shimmer colors ranging from dark smokey to light rose pinks. its the perfect everyday mix of colors and you can create the smokey eye look in a few different versions with it.

I Must say i enjoyed the darker colors of the pallet more than the light ones as the light ones didn’t show up too well on my skin tone as you can see below on my swatch. i had to apply a lot of the lighter colors to get the effect i wanted but they did how ever blend wonderfully for a smokey look but on their own didn’t do too well on my skin .

I Also tried out two of the new shimmer eye shadow singles from Catrice and i am very impressed with them! the color applies true and the shimmer looks like a good quality proper shimmer and actually shimmers on eyes like it does on the shadow single. i tried a turquoise and a lovely purple, the purple has turned out to be my absolute favorite out of the Catrice items i tried out!! its super pretty!!

Ok and then lastly i also tried out the Catrice Jet Lash speed volume mascara as well as the Velvet matte smokey eyes pencil and The Made to stay inside eye liner.

Now to be honest i was not really too happy with the Mascara, it does give fantastic volume but mine came out a bit clumpy and during the day flaked off and i ended up with black speckles on my cheeks. this could be maybe because the sample i got sent to review was possibly old or something. If anyone else has any feed back on this i would like to know how you found it to be.

The Lovely velvet matte smokey eye pencil is great!! its a sparkly smokey black and it has a lovely little brush on the back to use to smudge with and its so easy to blend!!!! and actually worked great with the Absolute rose palette. its got a nice creamy texture and i can give it a thumbs up!

The made to stay inside eye liner applies well to the inside of the eye with a good deep black color and it does stay in place through out the day! fantastic for me as i do like to wear my eye liner on the inside.

Great affordable products all available at Dischem  and fantastic eye shadow colors so a definite must for you to check it out next time you are in store!!

Essence Products Review and color swatches . All the Nudes :) & the Gel nail polish.

After the last few excited weeks of playing around with the Lovely Essence products i have now finally almost finished with them, here are my thoughts on the following products 🙂

To start off with the i love Nude range of eye shadows , they are so lovely and soft to the touch and apply well, the two Nude colors i tried worked well for a nice basic winter nude look and are also great for mixing with colors to spice it up a bit. some of the shades i found were so close to my own skin tone that i couldn’t notice that i was wearing it but this is great if you want a nice wear it to work minimal look for the day. They lasted well on my eyes and made the day 🙂 so hip hip hooray!!

In order from Left to right in the pictures the colors are , 03 Creme Brulee , 05 My favorite touping , &15 Hazel me not (soft touch long wear)

Next up is the i love Nude lip items i tried out, i tested two of the long lasting lipsticks, one darker and one light as well as a Xxxl lip gloss in a Nude.  The lipstick wears well but i found the Lighter color (01 wear only a smile) to be a bit pasty on my lips and it also showed my dry lip skin and i would suggest if you want to wear this that you first exfoliate the lips cause it really does show up everything , it worked a bit better when combined with the Lip gloss! The darker shade lipstick in 03 come naturally was a lot more up my alley and wears very well! They do match well with the whole nude look 🙂 And the Xxxl Lip gloss is very glossy, like very glossy lol. not really something im in to cause its a bit too sticky for me but it does give the lips good volume and they stand out wonderfully with shine! but like i say its just too sticky for me!

Then by now i am sure you all know how much iv been enjoying the latest Essence nail range and the Gel nail polish! They are just so fantastic! long lasting and the colors are great. I also loved the Nude ones as well as the very fun Matt top coat that gives a lovely effect when combined with the shiny gloss look! you can read my previous nails post to check out more about the colors .

Then Lastly i have the Lash Princess false lash effect Mascara, this one i was actually rather impressed with! it gives very long thick black false lash looking lashes so that’s a great budget buy if you are trying to get that Effect!! Also i tried the silky touch blush, its very lovely, feels so soft on skin and the peachy pink ish color works well and blends easily! definitely worth a try and all these products are very affordable!

Worth going out and buying some, great budget buys and you can get a good few items for your money, most of the products range from R30 to R100 and are good quality!

Lancome Review on my Awesome Dave Lackie Gift :) YAY!!! hehe

I am such a Happy beyond and very lucky girl to have received this awesome Gift from Dave Lackie in Canada!! very muchly super excited for it! And the Beautiful card that came with it (im gonna frame it haha) so here is my little write up and review of the Awesome Lancome products i received and some pics i took of the makeup 🙂

I have to start firstly with the amazing travel shadow palette i got that is all my favorite shades for a shimmer,brown, smokey look. Love it! i play with a lot of eye shadow and its actually amazing how when you get a really good quality eye shadow how you can notice the difference straight away!! You don’t have to rub at it intensely with your brush to get enough on the brush for it to apply, you just gently touch the shadow with the brush and it applies perfectly in the right shade that is the same as what it looks on the palette so what you see is what you get , no wasting and over applying to get the color right! and the shimmer is pretty! Eye shadow luxury at its best and the colors can be paired nice with different color liners and used on there own and also combined for a smokey look.

And Next is the Absolutely Amazing (my new favorite lipstick) The Lancome Shine Lover Lipstick!!!! Its like lipstick heaven, like a combination of lipstick, gloss and a lip moisturizer! its so nice! and the color is great with the shine it gives!!! iv gotten so many compliments from wearing it and i take it everywhere with me now. and the lovely white packaging with its silver detail is so classy and classic! can not go wrong at all with this one!!! A must have buy if you have not already tried it! it feels so good that its addictive and i just wanna apply it all day lol

Next item i got is the Lancome Nutrix royal body lotion for dry skin. Best lotion iv ever owned!! In the hydration department it just rocks!! You dont need alot of it to cover a big area of skin and it soaks in well so its not sticky and it leaves skin feeling perfectly moisturized! Its a luxurious feeling lotion, something you really wanna use after a special bath or evening cause it just makes you feel great! And its got such a lovely subtle smell that is soothing to me! This is the perfect item to have now that we are going into winter and i feel very confident that when summer comes again my skin will be looking grand! I havent been able to find this product here by me in George South Africa so im gonna go slow on this baby lol. i also love its cream colored tube with pretty writing and gold cap, you guys know im a sucker for pretty things to stand on my dressing table!!

With all these lovely items i also got a sample size Lancome Bi-Facil Double action eye makeup remover. its a two phase one so you shake it to activate and then use.  It makes removing all my beautiful makeup a breeze!! so easy, just wipes off and its got a lovely scent. im a big believer in eye makeup remover in the evenings before washing my face just to make sure i get all the dirt and leftovers of the day off! having traces of makeup still on your face when u go to sleep can effect how your skin and eyes look the next day.

So overall im very impressed with all of the Lancome products! they are great so i will definitely buy Lancome items again when i come across them

Turquoise eye liner and shadow :) coloring in my winter!

Blue makeup is all over these days, im not a dark or navy blue kinda person but a good light blue or turquoise really makes me very happy! and lucky for me iv got blue eyes so this works even more! iv been very busy with all the nude shades iv been trying and reviewing and to change to a touch of color is really pretty 🙂

i seriously dont wanna spend all my winter months hiding behind dull dark colors, winter is dark enough on its own as it is lol. so im gonna mix it up and add the color to my life!! match my blue liner with my scarf or something lol

i bought a very nice Gel eye liner from woolworths in turquoise for R99 and i love it! i am now thinking of going to buy as many colors as i can find it in!! not only is it great and easy for lining the top and bottom but it also works well for coloring in the lids as a shadow!! its fantastic! you can just color your lid in and dust with a clear powder to take stickiness away and ur sorted! it just works for everything! so you will see me trying out some more colors in the near future!

anyways its a very easy makeup look to get right, just line or color your eyes in with it. or use it as a liner and add a nice color shadow with it, it can be mixed with Nudes or i tried a nice shimmery copper color that was grand!!!! and i also tried it with a nice Catrice eye shadow single in a color called my mermint. perfect for busy mornings when you dont have time to sit and be too busy with your makeup!

A quick makeover i did on a Friend :) and how makeup can brighten up your day!!!

i Decided to do a quick in the kitchen over a cup of coffee makeover on my friend as i received a Matt base in her color instead of mine! and Who wouldn’t wanna share extra items with friends!!

i used the Essence products again, the Nude range and Silky tough blush and The All about matt base in color 50 matt caremel that was a perfect fit to her skin!!

Anyways you have already read my Essence review on the products so i wont go too on about them.i used the darker nude colors on her and the darker long-wear lipstick in 03 come naturally.

i took a before and an after photo and what i want you to pay attention to is how much happier she looks in the after photo! and then just realize that even the smallest bit of makeup and attention to self can boost your mood for the day!!!! Amazing!!

My Essence all About Nudes review and Pics for a nice winter look .

Iv done two weeks worth of Trying out the latest Essence i love Nudes range i got and iv loved every minute of it!

here is a little look i did with a more lighter nude color and it really does look nice, it remind me of cold frosty , snow on the mountain winter days that are crispy and fresh. the light nudes stand out great on the eyes and lips and really is very nice for brightening up the face!! i took a few pics so you can see.

the Essence range is super cool for the price of it as all the items i used ranged between R50 to R80 and are available at dischem and clicks. the texture of the Nude eye shadow singles is very soft powdery feel and they apply nicely , i found its best to smudge a layer of color and then tap a second layer over to get the color going nicely , i think as they are natural nude shades it takes a bit for them to show up on skin.

the Essence Nude lipsticks come in darker and lighter nudes in a longwear , i used a lighter one shade “01 wearing only a smile” in my photos as it stands out more and i did a touch of the Xxxl lip gloss but im not fond of it as it is too sticky so i would limit over doing it with that.

its a very natural look and i find its nice to mix with a bright lip color cause then it really brings out the lips perfectly if you want attention to be on them or want to match your lip color to your shirt or scarf for the day. works wonderfully!!

This look also goes Fantastic with lash definition as the lashes stand out in front of the color so if you want attention on your lashes then nudes are the way to go!! the Essence lash princess mascara with false lash effect worked well. you can pair it with a colored eye liner on the lids for a touch of color or to maybe go with outfit or lips. so dont think your limited stuck with the completely white look of it.

For the price you can really go out and get yourself the whole range to play around with and it is nice for winter now!! try them out and let me know what you think 🙂

Monday make up with Essence and Catrice , affordable products! Nudes …

i finally got to digging into the lovely Essence makeup i got in the latest media pack i was sent. its such a stunning mix of all About Nudes colors for the season! im super happy that the Nudes and rose pinks are in season now because i always naturally go for them anyways so now its perfect for me!!

But now focusing on what i did with my make up this morning, and i must just say that the Catrice Matt mouse foundation and cover stick i used along with the Catrice prime and fine primer got me such a perfect coverage with a natural looking finish! i could go as far as saying i prefer them to the more expensive brands iv tried lately. it blended wonderfully and easy and it stayed in place for the day. its my most important step to my make up, getting my skin right! iv naturally got good skin and i like to keep it looking great and clean and these products worked wonders for me! and they are cheap items you can pick up from dischem. the matt mouse is R59, Primer R69, cover stick R55. really  A bargain. i cant comment on the long term use and the effect on the skin as i havent had them for that long,but the makeup effect was great. The Cover stick in 010 Nude is like magic with covering my dark circles and cheek lines and the darkness in the   corner of my eyes.

i had to go to a birthday party today so i went for a bit of color on my eyes. but i mixed it in with the lighter “03 creme brulee” Nude shadow i got from essence, mixing a spot of color on the lids with the nudes works great! a pink or a blue normally for me can be blended in with a nude shade with maybe some shimmer to it and thats exactly what i did today. this way my color shadows dont stand lonely for the season. and the spot of color every now and then really gets me good compliments especially if its a blue shade that matches my eyes.. This Catrice  shadow single in 910 my Mermint matched my eyes perfect!!

on my lashes i used the Essence Lash Princess Mascara that has a nice long False lash effect, its a nice cheap Mascara if you are on a budget then go for it but i must say it is a bit thick in consistency, maybe this is what helps it get the false lash effect. it does give great length and definition to the lashes and they stay put. but if your not carefully it can get clumpy and thick if applied wrong. its got good deep black color to it as well. it sells for only R69 at dischem. and on my cheeks for a bit of color i used the new Essence Silky touch blush! its a soft pink blush that looks very natural on.

Did My lips in a glossy nude look thanx to the new lipstick and XXXL gloss from Essence! im just gonna say im not into lip gloss, its too sticky for me and reminds me of my young high school days but for photos it really does give lips a very plump shine look so thats nice, and of course if your into that kinda thing then they are nica. i used the gloss in shade “03 taste the sweets” and then the Long wear lipstick in a dark nude shade 03 come naturally. its a very nice nude lip shade and reminds me alot of a clinique one i have but the texture is not as nice as the clinique .

i think that just about covers todays look, it worked well for me and i had 3 people at the party complement me on the blue on my eyes hehe. here is a before and after makeup photo so u can see the difference , just dont laugh at my early morning before photo hahah. 🙂 XX

color: Catrice shadow single in 910 Me Mermint

Still going with the Viva Glam hehe Pink inspiration! a make up look and matching nails.

All in the pink spirit since Yesterdays Mac Viva Glam arrived on my desk!

Today i did a nice sunny bright pink and yellow eye shadow look and paired it with my viva glam and a stunning nail color ill tell you about. And gave my Mac zoom lash sample a test 🙂

Iv decided that for winter im gonna go with Bright colors and punch things up a bit instead of the usual grey brown nude winter look iv noticed so many go for..yes winter is dull , dark and gloomy but this does not mean i have to be! im all into bright pinks and purple and adding bits of yellow and lime green.

The products i used today are the Mac viva glam as u know, The mac zoom lash mascara that is fantastic for long ultra defined mega lashes!!! this is a great quality mascara and if you are thinking of buying from mac then i would recommend getting it.

For my eye shadow color i scratched out a good old eye shadow palette of mine that has been through so much with me and survived me toddler and is still going strong! its the Victoria jackson Range Beauty to go one and i used the yellow and actually used its blusher pink on my eyes cause i often find the blush pinks to be good shades. i applies my eye liner (Avon super extend liquid liner)  and then i started with the yellow and did the half of my lid closes to the lashes with the bright yellow and then i used the pink for the top half , i also taped a tad of yellow in the corner of my eye and under my bottom lashes. and then applied mascara as per usual.

Nails to match this look had to be as pink and punchy at the lipstick and i found the perfect nail color!!! From Tip Top Nail chic in 914 sitting pretty!! its soooo bright, glossy and perfect and makes me feel like a real lady hehe . and from my history with Tip top i know that for the low price they are one of my top top favorite quality nail brands and they have incredible lasting power that makes it days even with me washing dishes. they just work so well on my nails!!

And i am also carrying around my EOS lip balm that is pretty and pink in its Pomegranate raspberry flavor .
