Caribbean Tan Tanning Mousse

I have worked my way through loads of the Caribbean tan products but I actually never tried the bronzing mousse, for some reason I thought it wouldn’t work as well. Well I was wrong and gosh was I surprised at how amazing the mousse actually is! It has quickly jumped to the top of my favorite tanning products list.

I use shade B but shade A is also great for just having an every day tanned look. This product doesn’t need that much explaining, it is super simple to use and you cant go wrong. All you have to do is make sure that your skin is clean and nicely exfoliated before hand and then just pump out the foam and rub it all over your body! This lovely light foam soaks into skin super quick and is non sticky so you don’t sit with that sticky self tan feeling for hours after applying. It is gradual color so your color will develop over a few hours. If you are using your hands then just remember to was your hands properly and maybe twice lol to just make sure you get it off your hands and do not end up with stained hands. To be safe you can use one of the Caribbean tan tanning gloves. I like to apply in the evenings and then the next morning I am all tanned and can have a shower. 

I have also learnt that since I am now pregnant that it is more recommended that I use the mousse instead of the spritzer or aerosol cans, lucky for us pregnant ladies the mousse actually turned out to be more convent in the end so I am happy about that. I can definitely recommend this product , you can buy it at Dischem or clicks stores for only R99-95, Or you can even get it off of Takealot.

The Test Box – September box! Joico & Scruff…

This Months Test Box is as always a fantastic one!! Featuring one of my favorite hair care brands, Joico. The Box also contains a sample of Scruff Coffee Scrub. If you are not yet familiar with The Test Box, It is a South African subscription box that costs only R160 a month delivered to your door! Every month the box contains a different salon quality hair product and an extra little surprise. Its very easy to sign up for via a super easy debit order form and the service I have received from them has ALWAYS been amazing 🙂

The Joico Smooth Cure shampoo and conditioner in this months box is for frizzy, curly or coarse hair. Both the shampoo and conditioner have a lovely sweet fruity smell. This product works wonder to smooth out hair and dramatically reduce frizz, the shampoo is sulfate free and gently cleans hair leaving it feeling soft and still moisturized, remember that sulfate free shampoo’s don’t foam up as much as others and just cause its not foaming wildly doesn’t mean it is not doing its job.

The Conditioner is very creamy and you do not need a lot to cover hair. I sat for 10 min relaxing in the bath while I let the conditioner do its work. When you wash off the conditioner you can immediately feel how soft, moisturized and smooth your hair is! Its a wonderful feeling. The conditioner left my hair very manageable, it was not tangled at all after washing and was left smelling great. I normally kinda feel the need to go over my hair with the ghd after drying it to just get the little bit of frizz out, but the Joico Smooth Cure really did such a great job at smoothing my hair out that I didn’t even need to touch up with the ghd this time! I washed last night and slept with my hair loose and this morning my hair was still looking perfect, Amazing what a good hair care brand can do!! I have so much love for Joico products!

Sooooo 🙂 The other wonderful product in this months box is the Scruff Coffee Scrub!! I have been eyeing this product for a while now on The Test Box site so I am very happy that they included a sample in this months box. I am such a sucker for scrubs, I adore that smooth, hydrated, just scrubbed skin feeling. The Scruff Coffee Scrub is a proudly Capetonian brand, the scrub is hand made and natural, Its hydrating for skin and has antioxidant powers!! Suitable for even sensitive skin and can be used on face and body. If you are a Coffee Lover then you will most certainly and completely fall in love with this super product! It has fast become my go to facial scrub and its great to rub on and sit and relax for 10 minutes while you enjoy the lovely coffee smell, makes for a super relaxing Sunday morning face treatment while you have your morning coffee! Caribbean Tan – Tanning Spritzer Review

We are getting to that end bit of winter where you can see the sun is trying its hardest to make an appearance. This already makes me feel much better as I am not a winter person and I am so longing for the days the sun will be out in full force again and I can get that summer glow I have been dreaming about…. Well luckily for me I have a whole bunch of Caribbean Tan products to save my pale skin and help me look like a glowing goddess all year round!

I have used Caribbean Tan for years but like most people I know I stick to the products that I normally buy, in my case that’s the Tan in a Can Instant Color. It wasn’t until I was lucky enough to get sent the whole range from Caribbean Tan that I got to trying the other products in the line. To achieve a natural looking healthy summer glow with a self tan product, it is important to prepare skin by exfoliating and shaving before hand. I have fallen in love with the Caribbean Tan Cinnamon and coconut body scrub 🙂 It is amazing to die for fantastic. I have already finished the whole tub and I need to go buy some more now!

So yesterday I felt a bit pale and was missing the sun, my morning jog turned out nice cause the sun was out a bit and for the first time in a long time I felt like summer is starting to creep closer. This inspired me to get my Tan on hehe , so i grabbed a bottle of Caribbean Tan and basically attacked my skin with it 😉 I am now less pale and looking much much better than before.

I used the Caribbean Tan Tanning spritzer this time, I am used to the Tan in a Can instant Color which sprays out more of a mist so using the Spritzer was a bit different to what I am used to and i made sure i used the tanning mitt to rub the product on evenly so I don’t end up with a dark line or one body part that is darker than the other. The Tanning Spritzer sprays out bigger drops and because its an instant color one you can see where on your skin the product has landed and you can see how it is blending in as you rub it in and spread it around.

The result I got was at first different than I am used to, It wasn’t as dark of an instant color as the other Tan in a Can instant color one was but it looked good and the next morning it looked even better and is now fantastic 🙂 The Results are great, a even perfectly bronzed color and I already feel much better! I applied some to my face and I look like I have more of a glow now and it is just what I needed to uplift my mood a bit! A thing to keep in mind if you are going to be doing your face a bit is that it may effect your skin tone for the foundation and base u are using.

Maintaining the perfect self tan look is easy as long as you are remembering to moisturize and try showering instead of bathing because long periods of time in water cause the tan to wash off faster. Also some light Exfoliation keeps it looking even and perfect and then you can just touch up your tan with a spritz here and there if you see you need some more color.

African Extracts Rooibos Bath products Review – Natural skincare .

Happy Monday lovies 🙂  Today im taking a looksy at the African extracts Rooibos Range of bath time products, This is the first part of two posts this week and you can look forward to a Fantastic competition later in the week where you can stand a chance to win an African Extracts Hamper!

So Today im looking at the African Extracts Rooibos Exfoliating Body Scrub, Bath and Shower Gel as well as the Glycerin soap. The Range is paraben free and not tested on animals so that is great! Good choice for those that love a good natural range with plant Exacts and Antioxidants , its also non-allergenic ! Natural skincare.

The Exfoliation Body scrub is my Favorite out of the bath time items, its got a thick gel like consistency with Apricot Kernels and Rooibos Leaves that exfoliate and polish the skin, it works up a nice lather and leaves skin feeling smooth and fresh plus It has a refreshing herbal rooibos smell to it and improves skin tone. Retails for around R56 so its a bargain buy! Especially important to exfoliate and keep skin looking good during winter.

The Bath and shower Gel foams up fantastic and the smell reminds me of holidays in Carlitzdorp at the hot springs lol , its very herbal and natural! its got Rooibos extracts and jojoba oil that help rejuvenate the appearance of skin without drying it out. i felt very clean and refreshed after a bath with these products. Retails for around R43

The Bar of Glycerine soap is a nice clean clear color , its a great choice for people with sensitive skin as glycerine soaps are gentle on skin, soothe and nourish without stripping the skin of natural moisture! The only thing i didnt like about this one is the smell, and its due to the fact that i dont like the smell of glycerine soaps in general. They just dont do if for me. It did however leave my skin feeling clean and soft . Retails for R22

Caribbean Tan – Best way to stay Tanned all year round!

Iv always loved Caribbean Tan! i have used the products for years now and trust them to always deliver a perfect easy Tan. This is why i was so thrilled to get this fantastic press drop from Caribbean Tan SA. So many fantastic products to try out and the best way to stay tanned through winter and safely in summer!

The Caribbean Tan range is big, there is something for everyone and different shades for different needs and skin tones so you really are spoilt for choice on these. From Bronzing mousse, Tanning spritzers, shimmer lotions, Instant Tan in a can to gradual Tan in a Can…. The Range has you Covered! They even have a Self Tan application Mitt to help you apply the products and then there is a Milk and Honey X-tender body butter that helps keep your tan looking good and lasting long.

This is the first in a few posts i will be doing to explain the products and look at them more closely , so that you can get a good idea of what you should be buying to give yourself a great Tan!

Iv Tested a Few of these lovely products now, i normally buy the Tan in the Can Instant color so im gonna be looking at that one quick today cause im very familiar with it and how to use it. I know what people think when they think self tan at home, they think big ass disaster turn out looking like the orange oros man! ok well forget that idea and clear your head of previous bad tan experiences cause this is DEFINITELY not a problem you are going to be having with Caribbean Tan.  So Here is My step by Step how to Get a Tan using the Tan in a Can instant color 🙂

1. Grab your Caribbean Tan Cinnamon and Coconut Body scrub and have a lekker shower! Scrub from head to to toe with this yummy body scrub, its one of my favorite products from the range! love it so much. Remember to shave your legs as well
2. Make sure your skin is clean and you have washed off all the residue from the scrub and are completely dry. i like to wait 30min after showering and shaving to let skin settle before applying the tanning product.
3. Get your bottle of Tan in a Can instant color , i use it in shade B. And grab your Tanning mitt. If you dont have a tanning mitt then its really not the end of the world, just apply loads of hand cream before rubbing on the products so that it doesn’t soak too much into hands and remember to wash hands properly afterwards.
4. Get Tanning! This is so easy i do it myself all the time, The Tan in a Can sprays out in a fine mist and with the instant color you can see immediately where it is, i start at my feet and do my legs and then rub with the tanning mitt to spread it all around evenly. spray sparingly on the ankle and knee area cause those areas tend to be darker. Do this to your entire body or if so desire just the areas you wanna cover. For face i normally just spray a bit in my hands and rub on like i would a face cream so its not too dark.
5. After tanning give about 5 min before getting dressed and then wear something loose and preferably nothing white cause it can rub off sometimes, or tho it does not stain clothes so no stressing 🙂 Try not to shower or bath for at least 8 hours after tanning to allow the product to settle on skin and for a longer lasting tan.
6. Keeping skin moisturized daily with the Caribbean tan body butter will help keep your tan looking great and prolong it, you can also use the fabulous Caribbean tan Shimmer lotion to give your skin an extra glow and moisture prolong tan results.

Here is a little before and after pic, or at least i tanned my right leg and not the left so you can see the difference form the Tan in a Can instant color! Such an amazing products, delivers a fantastic bronzed color and its so Easy. This one is great for touching up legs quick if you decide to wear a dress out , its so quick to do!

Darling Jane Creations -Natural hand made bath and beauty products.

The other day i did a post to introduce you to Darling Jane creations and the lovely products i got from them, I Had loads of fun this weekend trying out all the products i got and they are great 🙂 here is my report back and a Giveaway!!!

I absolutely love bath time and i cant have a boring bath, i have to have something to add into the bath! I always need some kind of bubbles, oil, something that smells nice or just anything to make bath time more enjoyable and relaxing! The smell of these darling Jane products are out of this world amazing! I did loads of testing of these over the weekend so i can now report back, iv tested them so much i think i need to get some more now lol.

The scrubs when rubbed on skin are great, they are rich and oily and do wonders at exfoliating , i especially loved the fine texture and feeling of the peppermint face scrub, its amazing stuff that! The chocolate vanilla swirl body scrub is so so yummy and totally just divine to use! It left my skin feeling smooth and oiled with just the right amount to moisturize my skin . Its Perfect and i can definitely recommend investing in the sugar scrubs and the face scrub for sure. The Bath fizzies are very fun the way they fizz up and turn into a scent filled oily bath of goodness 🙂 My favorite one is the Cafe Latte that smells so amazing. The Lavender bath salts are the best lavender salts iv had in a while, they actually smell like lavender lol (unlike some products that claim to smell like lavender) and it makes for a very relaxing bath time and thats exactly what i needed! Gosh and then there is the Chocolate mint lip scrub! and ooooh it is great, it smells so yummy and is great for keeping lips smooth and perfect through the winter, it gets slightly addictive cause its so nice to use

My Favorite items i must say have turned out to be the Peppermint range! The peppermint face scrub, sugar body scrub and the peppermint lip balm. They are great! the smell is very refreshing and uplifting and when you apply the scrub it leaves your skin feeling clean and tingly, i loooove the tingly feeling it gives skin! After a nice bath with the scrubs i still smelt like peppermint and was all moisturized and my face felt smooth from the face scrub and then i applied the peppermint lip balm that works wonders for lips. I felt like a new person after all of that! very refreshed and de stressed.

This was not my planned blog post for today but i just had to write this now! This morning the courier arrived with a wonderful package from Darling Jane and i am so very excited with how awesome these products are that i thought i must tell everyone about it right now!!

It leaves lips all pepped up and tingly with a burst of moisture and the Peppermint face scrub and sugar body scrub smell just as refreshing and instantly uplift. I also got the Chocolate Mint lip scrub, this works like a charm for winter lips, It smells and even tastes great lol , and leaves your lips smooth and moisturized and ready for Lipstick 🙂

My Extreme Love for The Body Shop and why its so addictive!! #NewPulseWatercrest

Iv reached a point in my life where i dont go a day without using my body shop products and bath time is like an event for me where i match my items and scents and get all excited about the 20min (if that much) of peace i get to relax in some hot water for some beautiful smelling body shop stuff!!  my heaven sent 20min after  a very long day of up and down between work and launching my blog and my daughter running circles around me.

all the Lovely Body shop stuff smells great! honestly its like the main reason i love the stuff so much!! like the most awesome fruity fresh ,floral smell iv ever smelt!! i could sit there and sniff it all day, its like you can eat it it smells so good!! and it ALL feels soooo nice on my skin! from the scrub to the wash and the body butter , its my whole body routine sorted at one shop and i can match all my scents! and They also have  wonderful range of skin care products and make up that im a super fan of because im for a long time now used the Tea tree skin clearing range to keep me skin blemish free. and the price is good for the quality you are getting! or tho most people may think its a tad expensive but really just go buy 3 items, a wash, a scrub and a body butter. and you will definitely find it in a scent that you love! with a matching body mist haha . I can guarantee you will go back for more!

The items all use community Fair trade ingredients and are against animal testing!! so why wouldn’t you wanna buy it!!! all your must have beauty items in one shop , did i mention the makeup is awesome!!! plus you can get a body shop club card that you earn points on and they are not like super stingy with their vouchers cause i always get nice ones from my club card usage!

the Lovely Ladies at the Body Shop Garden route mall know my very well and they even saved me at the mall the other day when i got so excited about buying stuff that i left me car keys there and the mall was closing for load shedding but they managed to get my keys back to me! so Thanx body shop!!
