  1. im going to tell you the most interesting thing that I discovered whilst pregnant, when your tummy is huge, and you happen to have an orgasm, your tummy gets a braxton hick contraction and goes hard like a rock! Like scary rock hard! Lol! Its a proven fact actually, orgasm releases oxytocin, the same hormone that controls contractions. So, that was my very embarrassing fact, so that I could maybe have a chance to win that awesome hamper for my special friend Raen, who is such a special lady and really deserves to be pampered! She is almost five months pregnant with her first baby!

  4. That a woman’s body is so resilient and can adjust to so many changes inside her body. It’s also amazing that the baby gets nutrients before the mommy, thus she needs to eat healthy to keep herslef and baby healthy.

  6. I learnt that babies have been documented doing a number of things while inside the womb. From sucking their thumbs and holding hands, and waving hello, you never know what you might see during an ultrasound!

  7. Today I am 20 weeks so exactly half way! So far in this pregnancy I have learned loads… Little things like the baby does a wee in the womb and then drinks it, at 20 weeks my baba should have eyebrows and that during pregnancy your womb will stretch from the size of a peach to the size of a watermelon!

  8. I recently learnt about “the Breast Crawl” in a group meeting I attended called The Positive Birthing Movement. Here is what I learnt and it BLEW MY MIND!!!
Every newborn, when placed on her mother’s abdomen, soon after birth, has the ability to find her mother’s breast all on her own and to decide when to take the first breastfeed. This is called the ‘Breast Crawl’. #babygoals.

  9. Pregnant women really do experience a heightened sense of smell, which is basically the body’s way of steering them away from food that would be bad for the baby.

  10. What I have learned is that any form of caffeine, no matter how small gets the baby to move. My friend can have a sip of coke and her baby “dances” in her belly.

  12. Interesting fact about pregnancy: Only about 5% of babies are born on their due date
You will spend your entire pregnancy counting the days until you get to see your baby’s sweet, little face. However, like many women, especially first time mothers-to-be, you may continue to wait well past your due date. While pregnancy is generally considered to last for 40 weeks, most first time pregnancies average just over 41 weeks, some longer. Doctors may decide to induce a labour that has not started spontaneously, generally between 7-14 days after the due date, unless a medical reason exists.

The most interesting fact that I read about pregnancy is: It is totally possible to be pregnant for an entire year. The longest pregnancy on record was reportedly 375 days long. Wow! I didn’t know that. :-O

  17. Being pregnant for this first time brings in a lot of mixed emotions, confusion and overall joy. The most interesting fact is knowing that my little baby embedded inside of me cries in the womb. I have just recently learned this fact and it is so amazing to share that with moms who have already had their 2nd or 3rd child. Even they are amazed at knowing this fact. It is really interesting knowing that inside the womb a beautiful creation is already filled with emotion. Praying hard on winning, baba and I would be truly blessed with a bit of pampering from Bio-oil

At this stage baby’s hair is white because there is no pigments yet…. There is just so much about baby that is amazing and I feel so blessed knowing that all that is happening inside me…

  25. The most interesting fact about pregnancy is that as bad as you feel during the pregnancy, when it’s over you will miss being pregnant. Having your baby so close to you at all times, feeling those hiccups and kicks from the inside….
